Sehion Abhishekagni Hills

The spiritual services which had commenced at Sehion, Thavalam, Atappady, on the 28th April 1998, with the Apostolic blessing of His Excellency Mar Jacob Manathodath, the Bishop of Palakkad, and with continuing spiritual efforts and services of Rev. Fr. Xavier Khan Vattayil, the director of Sehion Ministries, have today spread around the world rendering opportunities for many people worldwide, to join the main stream of love of God.


Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve

An initiative of the Coimbatore Zoological Park Society, this park was established in 1986 to conserve and protect the diversity of the Western Ghats. Thirty years later, it has grown to be a home to over 430 species of plants with 85 endangered species. The park also hosts 100 species of birds, 20 species of reptiles, 18 species of mammals and over 300 species of invertebrates. If you’re on the lookout for a wildlife adventure, this place will do the trick.


Velliangiri Hills

Velliangiri is a part of the Nilgiri biosphere in the Western Ghats that touches Coimbatore. It is also known as the ‘Thenkailayam – the Kailash od south’. Lot of devotees worship lord Shiva at the shrine on the top of the mountain. The experience of trekking this mountain is beautiful and at the same time spiritual.


Marudhamalai Temple

Located at around 30 kms. from Anaikatti, the Marudhamalai hill-temple is dedicated to the Hindu God, Murugan. Intrinsic architecture and design are the main draws of this temple which gloriously stands atop a hillock.


Silent Valley National Park

Located 130 kms from Anaikatti, The Silent Valley is the largest national park in Kerala and its part of The Nilgiri Sub-Cluster (6,000+ km2), Western Ghats World Heritage Site, recognised by UNESCO in 2007 . Extremely fragile, a unique preserve of tropical evergreen rain forests which is a veritable nursery of flora and fauna, some of which are found nowhere else in the world.
Please Note: Silent Valley National Park will be closed from 15th Feb 17 for the next two months; maybe even extending to three. This is as per the government’s directive to prevent forest fires.


Avalanche lake

The name avalanchee is because there was a major land slidein this area a few hundred years ago and there formed big lake the water for the lake comes from the top of the mountain you can see the real ooty in this place , the water is crystal clear, non polluted area and you can see the trout fish hatchery 100 years old
